Each year we hold a Pre-Christmas Sale Weekend on the first weekend in December here at Sidewood Dressage where EVERYTHING is REDUCED! Lots of reduced items or special offers and clearance items. Anything that doesn't have a specific reduction gets 10% off the full price at checkout so everything has something off the price!
Due to the last two increasingly 'snowy' winters, we have decided to hold things a little earlier this year and also not just have one sale weekend, but THREE.
Dates are 22nd/23rd October,29th/30th October and 5th/6th November
So pop along between 9am and 5pm and grab yourself some bargains. Excellent Christmas gift ideas too so it's an ideal opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done for your horsey pals while you're here
11 September 2011 - SCOTTISH SPORTS HORSE MARE & YOUNGSTOCK GRADING
Our two foals Brando SD (Hilkens's Black Delight x Mirage) and Gwendolina SD (Hemmingway x Wiane) attended the Scottish Sports Horse Annual Gradings at Southmuirhead Farm, gaining good First Premiums. We are very proud of them both!

18 August 2011 - BEF FUTURITY EVALUATION
Our colt foal Brando SD gained a Higher First Premium at the BEF Futurity Evaluations at SNEC. The evaluators comments were "Bold and Independent - Expressive"
He gained an 8.5 for walk and a 9 for his trot
Brando was born in March this year out of our German Riding Pony Mare Mirage and is by the Weser-Ems German Riding Pony stallion Hilken's Black Delight who has turned out to be one of the most exciting pony stallions available in Europe at the moment. Mirage has a full sister sucessfully competing in Dressage so we have high hopes for Brando!
5th May 2011 - WIANE GIVES BIRTH TO FILLY (Gwendolina SD)
The beautiful and very elegant KWPN mare Wiane gave birth to a gorgeous filly at 2am on the 5th May. Gwendolina is by the KWPN stallion Hemmingway, currently standing at Scotland AI Services. Wiane (Tia) is by Don Primero (Donnerhall) with Wellington on her dam's side.
14th - 17th April 2011 - SD COLLARS AT THE WINTER DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Our handstitched designer dog collars are on sale at this years' Winter Dressage Championships, Hartbury on the IVRIDERS stand. If you're attending the Championships, why not pop onto the stand and see our collars and all the other goodies IVRiders have for sale. Heather will also be taking orders for made-to-measure collars while she is there too!
12th April 2011 - MIRAGE GIVES BIRTH TO COLT FOAL (Brando SD)
Our beautiful German Riding Pony Mirage gave birth to a gorgeous black colt foal by Hilken's Black Delight. He is a strong little chap and extremely sociable and just loves to be the centre of attention!

Our own handstitched designer dog collars proved successful when they went on sale at this years' National Championships on the FOR RIDERS stand. Many thanks to Heather!
1 April 2010 - WHAT A WINTER!
After battling with the weather all winter and being snowed in on more than a few of occasions, we didn't really expect to be snowed in again in April!
After many hours of digging, we finally cleared the many 2' drifts across our driveway
20 September 2009 - SCOTTISH SPORTS HORSE GRADING
Our four mares did well at the Scottish Sports Horse Society grading at Southmuirhead Farm. Our babies, Mystique and Wubi both gained First Premium status while our older mares Wiane and Mirage both gained Ster status

Congratulations to Mini Champion Myles Lindsay-Brown and Waxwing Typhoon from East Lothian and also Reserve Mini Champion Hazel Mowat on Reuben from Biggar. Each received a Funnell embroidered fleece rug and an Oster 7-piece grooming kit from Sidewood Dressage

12 September 2009 - YARROW & ETTRICK SHOW
What a scorcher of a day at Yarrow Show. We took the new Winter 2009 Pikeur collection with us which had only arrived 2 days previously and gained much interest. Thanks to everyone who visited our stand, it was nice to meet you all . . .

25 August 2009 - BEF FUTURITY EVALUATION
Good results gained for our foal Mystique and yearling Wubi at the BEF Futurity Evaluations at Fountain Equestrian, Dyce, Aberdeen.
Our bay filly foal Mystique, born in March this year out of our German Riding Pony Mare Mirage and by the Dutch Riding Pony stallion Argentino gained First Premium status and received not only the highest Foal score but also the highest Dressage score for Scotland, we are so proud of her!
Our black yearling filly Wubi who is out of our KWPN Don Primero (Donnerhall) mare Wiane (aka Tia) and by the German Riding Pony stallion Hilken's Black Delight gained Second Premium status and was reserve high score Sports Pony (Dressage)

8 March 2009 - MIRAGE GIVES BIRTH TO FILLY 'MYSTIQUE'
In the early hours of Sunday morning, our beautiful black German Riding Pony 'Mirage' gave birth to a little bay filly by the Dutch stallion Argentino. She has a beautiful heart shape on her forehead and 2 white socks behind and is an increadibly friendly little girl
7 March 2009 - DEBBIE AND MAUREEN'S ''CENTENERY'' BIRTHDAY BASH
It was a late birthday bash for mother and daughters' 40th and 60th birthdays (which were December and January) held at the Hilcroft Hotel in Whitburn. Held as a charity night - instead of guests bringing birthday presents, they put a donation in the box instead - over £600 was collected on the night with a few pledges still to come in. All proceeds are being donated to equine charities (which will be announced shortly)
Many thanks to all who came along and made donations and made it a great party night!

5 October 2008 - MIRAGE ARRIVES
We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new pony
MIRAGE from Germany.
Mirage is a beautiful black GRP (German Riding Pony) brood mare who we heard about from Juliet Walker (Blackington Stud) - thanks Juliet! Her foal at foot, ADONIS, by Dutch stallion ARGENTINO was also sold at the Elite Pony Sales. Mirage is currently in foal to Argentino again. She has the sweetest temperament and expressive paces. We are all excited about the arrival of her foal in the spring.
7 July 2008 - WUBI IS BORN
Our KWPN mare Tia (Wiane), never one to hang around, surprised us all by having her foal 3 weeks early!!! Wubi was born on the 7th July 2008. She is a beautiful little black filly - just a miniture of her mother. Wubi is the first filly to be born in the UK by the German Riding Pony stallion
'Hilken's Black Delight' who was the Weser-Ems Licensing Champion 2005 and was described by the judges as
'as close to perfection as possible'.
Tia is a black 2003 KWPN mare by Don Primero by the great Donnerhall. She was imported as a 3 year old and came to Sidewood to be backed and sold, however Debbie fell in love with her and ended up buying her!
18 January 2008 - STELLA ARRIVES Stella is a 7 year old Belgian mare who has the sweetest nature and tries her hardest to please.
