1 April 2010 - WHAT A WINTER!
After battling with the weather all winter and being snowed in on more than a few of occasions, we didn't really expect to be snowed in again in April!
After many hours of digging, we finally cleared the many 2' drifts across our driveway
20 September 2009 - SCOTTISH SPORTS HORSE GRADING
Our four mares did well at the Scottish Sports Horse Society grading at Southmuirhead Farm. Our babies, Mystique and Wubi both gained First Premium status while our older mares Wiane and Mirage both gained Ster status

Congratulations to Mini Champion Myles Lindsay-Brown and Waxwing Typhoon from East Lothian and also Reserve Mini Champion Hazel Mowat on Reuben from Biggar. Each received a Funnell embroidered fleece rug and an Oster 7-piece grooming kit from Sidewood Dressage

12 September 2009 - YARROW & ETTRICK SHOW
What a scorcher of a day at Yarrow Show. We took the new Winter 2009 Pikeur collection with us which had only arrived 2 days previously and gained much interest. Thanks to everyone who visited our stand, it was nice to meet you all . . .

25 August 2009 - BEF FUTURITY EVALUATION
Good results gained for our foal Mystique and yearling Wubi at the BEF Futurity Evaluations at Fountain Equestrian, Dyce, Aberdeen.
Our bay filly foal Mystique, born in March this year out of our German Riding Pony Mare Mirage and by the Dutch Riding Pony stallion Argentino gained First Premium status and received the highest Dressage score and highest Foal scores for Scotland, we are so proud of her!
Our black yearling filly Wubi who is out of our KWPN Don Primero (Donnerhall) mare Wiane (aka Tia) and by the German Riding Pony stallion Hilken's Black Delight gained Second Premium status and was reserve high score Sports Pony (Dressage)

A big thank you to everyone who visited our new trade stand at The Fife Show, it was very nice to meet you all and well done to all competitors. Hope to see you all again throughout the season!
8 March 2009 - MIRAGE GIVES BIRTH TO FILLY 'MYSTIQUE'
In the early hours of Sunday morning, our beautiful black German Riding Pony 'Mirage' gave birth to a little bay filly by the Dutch stallion Argentino. She has a beautiful heart shape on her forehead and 2 white socks behind and is an increadibly friendly little girl
7 March 2009 - DEBBIE AND MAUREEN'S ''CENTENERY'' BIRTHDAY BASH
It was a late birthday bash for mother and daughters' 40th and 60th birthdays (which were December and January) held at the Hilcroft Hotel in Whitburn. Held as a charity night - instead of guests bringing birthday presents, they put a donation in the box instead - over £600 was collected on the night with a few pledges still to come in. All proceeds are being donated to equine charities (which will be announced shortly)
Many thanks to all who came along and made donations and made it a great party night!

5 October 2008 - MIRAGE ARRIVES
We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new pony
MIRAGE from Germany.
Mirage is a beautiful black GRP (German Riding Pony) brood mare who we heard about from Juliet Walker - thanks Juliet! Her foal at foot, ADONIS, by Dutch stallion ARGENTINO was also sold at the Elite Pony Sales. Mirage is currently in foal to Argentino again. She has the sweetest temperament and expressive paces. We are all excited about the arrival of her foal in the spring.
7 July 2008 - RUBY IS BORN
Our KWPN mare Tia, never one to hang around, surprised us all by having her foal 3 weeks early!!! Ruby was born on the 7th July 2008. She is a beautiful little black filly - just a miniture of her mother. Ruby is the first filly to be born in the UK by the German Riding Pony stallion
'Hilken's Black Delight' who was the Weser-Ems Licensing Champion 2005 and was described by the judges as
'as close to perfection as possible'.
Tia is a black 6 year old KWPN mare by Don Primero by the great Donnerhall. She was imported by Denise Shawns as a 3 year old and came to Sidewood to be backed and sold, however Debbie fell in love with her and ended up buying her!
18 January 2008 - STELLA ARRIVES Stella is a 7 year old Belgian mare who has the sweetest nature and tries her hardest to please.
